Finding the Path
by Tahl Raz
It wasn't so long ago that you were a doctor, part of the Western pursuit for more money, more credentials, just ... more. What changed?
The most sobering thing in anyone's life is this real fact of our mortality. I used to work in an emergency room, and I used to see people dying every day. It's very interesting staring in the face of death and seeing first-hand the terror and anxiousness. I have babysat people sure of death.
What is remarkable as humans, you'd never hear one of them say: "You know, I wish I had spent more time at the office," or "I wish I made more money." What that does is, if you are aware that death is stalking you every moment of your life, you look behind your shoulder, there she is, closer.
Ultimately, this awareness will force you to change your priorities. You will ask, what's really important to me? And once you do that, you will make the things that I said to you earlier on the most important things. And then you know the paradox is that it also happens to bring material abundance. The paradox is that when you're engaged and detached at the same time then that gives you immense power and strength to achieve your goals.
Which has something to do with wealth consciousness.
It is wealth consciousness. Wealth consciousness is the understanding and knowingness of what is immeasurable, eternal and infinite. An unbounded domain from where the whole universe is created, including the cause wealth.
