If You Believe You're Rich,
You Will Be
by Tahl Raz
You have said that we are specks of awareness that project our universe and then experience it. Essentially, we manifest our own destiny. Can we aspire to manifest material abundance and do justice to our spiritual aspirations as well?
Well, what is the most abundant thing in the universe? It's the universe and nature itself. Lavish abundance, the expression of latent abundance — in every seed there is promise of thousands of forests. Nature in her lavish abundance is luxurious and super abundant.

| The recipe for success: |
| This centers on Chopra's Law of Detachment. You don't give up intention or desire; you give up the attachment to the result. |
| Participate in everything with detached involvement. |
| If you willingly accept uncertainty, solutions will spontaneously emerge out of the problem. |
| Look at every problem you have as an opportunity for some greater benefit. |
| Examine your beliefs. If you desire money, but believe wealth is a sign of greed, you inhibit your ability to actualize financial prosperity. | |
|
And if we are expressions of nature and we are experiencing poverty, then that must be a spiritual illness. We must not be connected with the effortless spontaneity of nature's intelligence. So I look at poverty as an illness. Abundance is our natural innate state.
Having said that, ultimately what is abundance? The highest level of abundance is when you don't have to think or worry about it. You can have a billion dollars in the bank and if you're constantly worried about what's happening to the stock market, you are a poor soul. On the other hand, you may have nothing and feel carefree about it. What is material abundance? What is money? It is how creatively we use the energy of the universe. However, hard work and labor aren't related to money.
Let's take a look at the history of wealth through civilization to find what were the sources of wealth. Well, when we were hunter-gatherers, the sources of wealth centered around bows and arrows. In the age of agriculture, the sources of wealth were agricultural products and animal husbandry. In the age of industry, the sources of wealth were minerals and things in the ground that you could use to make machines.
In the age of information, what's the source of wealth? A microchip. What's a microchip? It's a piece of dust with information on it. That's it. The wealthiest nations in the world have access to a silicon chip. And a silicon chip is available to anyone. It's a piece of dust. It's the information in it that makes all the difference. It creates the material abundance of Microsoft and Mr. Bill Gates or whoever.
But you know, that's just the prelude. The age of information is going to the age of knowledge. We are moving already into a knowledge-based society. Otherwise you wouldn't have your job. The job you have and the company you work for, and this Internet site, it's a reflection of a knowledge-based society.
