Quoted

Who is the most powerful public person in the Internet industry today?
The consumer.

What do you wish you had invented?
Time travel.

What do you consider your greatest professional achievement?
Building and belonging to a team that is creating a new sort of "convergence" company, and executing a vision that is our own.

If you weren't doing what you're doing now, what would you be doing?
Learning how to fly.

What year did you start using the Internet?
As a Journal foreign correspondent in London in 1990, using the local NSF-net dial-ups to send ASCII e-mail to my brother back in the States. I kept my long-distance phone bills low! Also, I filed a bunch of 1991 Gulf War stories from Kuwait to the Journal in New York via a tortured Internet connection, involving diesel generators, military censors and a bunch of ham-radio operators in Stockholm, but that's another story.
