Growing Sites at Work
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The
fastest growing site at the office for this past week ending Oct. 1 was
eHow.com ( http://www.ehow.com/), an
information source on how to do things.
According to leading
Internet audience measurement service Nielsen//NetRatings, the site jumped
92 percent to 567,000 unique visitors, followed by eToys (
http://www.etoys.com/), which
rose 66 percent to 389,000 unique visitors.
MyPrimeTime ( http://www.myprimetime.com/), a
portal offering tips and advice for baby boomers, grew 65 percent to
570,000 unique visitors, while online brokerage Ameritrade (
http://www.ameritrade.com/)
increased 56 percent to 341,000 unique visitors.
The fifth fastest growing
site at work for the week was Mail.com ( http://www.mail.com/), an
Internet messaging service provider, which attracted 54 percent more
visitors, or 328,000 unique visitors.
Sweepstakes Rule the Web at
Home
NEW YORK, Oct 6 (Reuters) -
Five of the top fifteen fastest growing sites at home for this past week
ending Oct. 1 were sweepstakes and gaming sites, according to
Nielsen//NetRatings.
Leading the way was
Publishers Clearing House's site ( http://www.pch.com/), which
spiked 230 percent to 851,000 unique home visitors.
Other big gainers included
Troppolotto.com,
Netflip.com, Winfreestuff.com, and Grouplotto.com. Troppolotto.com
ended the week with 379,000 unique visitors, an increase of 92 percent,
while 549,000 surfers visited Netflip.com, an increase of 87 percent.
Winfreestuff.com's traffic
rose 86 percent to 328,000 unique visitors and Grouplotto.com jumped 63
percent to 978,000 visitors for the week ending Oct. 1.
